Several of the hardworking contractors who have done work for our family expressed an interest in leaving their employer and starting their own business. As it turns out, they were not treated fairly by their employer and wanted to have the ability to do quality work in the community. We provided encouragement, references, and recommended them to our neighbors.
The new business owners wanted to provide a website where they could showcase their work and obtain new clients. Since they have no computer experience and English was not their first language, we decided to help them, and Websites for Workers was born.
Hi, I’m Tyler. Websites for Workers began after I got to know several local contractors who had done excellent work for my family. Many of them wanted to branch out and start their own businesses but didn’t have the tools or resources to take that step. Some had faced unfair treatment at work, and for many, English wasn’t their first language, which made things even harder.
At first, I supported them by encouraging their efforts, recommending them to friends and neighbors, and sharing their names in the community. But as they began to build their businesses, they needed more than word-of-mouth — they needed a way to showcase their skills and reach new customers. That’s when I decided to create Websites for Workers.
My goal is simple: to give small business owners accessible websites and practical marketing tools that help them grow. When these businesses succeed, it creates more opportunity, strengthens families, and benefits the entire community.
